Last weekend I took a short trip to the city of Puebla and visited this nativity scene on the town square. Note the elephant which is common in Mexican nativity scenes. Legend has it that one of the wise men rode on an elephant. Also note the empty manger. Baby Jesus wasn't born until Christmas Eve so won't be placed in the manger until later tonight.Feliz Navidad-Merry Christmas
