Probably my all time favorite is the Zocalo, or town square, of the city of Oaxaca. There is always plenty of sidewalk cafes and people watching. I never tire of heading to the Zocalo.
The tiny mountain town of Lachivisa lends itself to relaxing, catching up with friends at the Covenant church and being able to slow down from the normal, hectic everyday pace of life.

The beach at Puerto Escondido is famous for surfing--for me watching the surfers!
Llano Grande is a small town high up in the mountains. There are ecoturism cabins, lots of good hiking and typical Oaxacan food.
St. Peter, Minnesota where two of the cutest boys live---Aaron & Sam, my grandsons.
Evanston, Illinois where my newest grandchild, Audrey, lives.
Ojo de Agua - a natural springs swimming hole in Ixtepec, a city in the isthmus region of Oaxaca. After a long day of health screenings with a mission group, this is a great place to relax.
A trip to the town of Zaachila would not be complete without a stop at Chabelitas to taste her homemade ice cream. My favorites are tuna and nuez---prickly pear cactus and nut ice cream.
