One of the birthday traditions in Mexico is to have the birthday person take a "mordida" or a bite out of their birthday cake. This is usually done with the "help" of friends and can be quite a messy event.It was my birthday yesterday but I had kind friends and they didn't push my face into a cake. They took me out for lunch at a nearby trout farm instead. Thank you to all of you who via one method or another (Facebook, this Blog, e-mail or SKYPE) wished me a happy birthday.
